Birds Identified at Hawken

The webmaster has identified the following birds (55 species)
at Hawken, from May 5th through May 25, 1997.

The "When" column refers to when the specie is regularly found in the Cleveland Region.

Y = Year 'Round,
N = during the Nesting season (summer mostly, possibly extending into the spring and/or fall), and
M = during spring Migration (generally May; April and June according to varying species)

N-Y implies that the specie's occurence in the area is most common during the nesting season but also extends early into the spring and into the fall, and is almost as common as a Y bird. In like ways, M-N implies that the specie mostly occurs during migration but is present-common during the nesting season and M-Y implies that the species is common during migration but is also present in the winter almost as much as a Y.
